GREAT NEWS – New Class Added to PreK 3 Program

We have quite a few names on our waiting list for PreK3 so we have decided to open up a second PreK3 class!  Please inform your family and friends that we now have openings in our three year old program.  Children have to be three by September 1, 2017 and potty-trained.  There is still an option for three days or 5 days.  Please call Mrs. DeCree at 215-742-1127 if you are interested. Act now.  Space is limited.

The Bridge scholarships have all been awarded and letters will be sent home soon. Unfortunately, we only received $7,666 from Bridge this year so decisions were made to give these scholarships to families who were not receiving any other aid. All applications will be kept on file in case additional money becomes available over the summer.

SMARTAID scholarships are currently being determined and letters will be sent home as soon as the process is completed.

Nadine, the tuition manager, will be notified by the end of June of all scholarships and amounts. Your FACTS account should then be adjusted accordingly. Please retain the letter indicating your scholarship amount in case there is any discrepancy.  Remember that, if you are paying in full, your scholarship amount will be deducted from your tuition before applying the 10% discount.

Additional scholarships may be awarded if we receive notification that additional moneys have been added to either Bridge or SMARTAID over the summer,.

Home and School Association

We sincerely thank the Home and School for all they have done for us this year. No matter what we asked them to do it was done with skill and without complaint. The profits from all the activities they organized this year were used to pay the following items for our school:

My Students’ Progress (our Student Information System) – $4728

Master Teacher (professional development pamphlet for the teachers) – $644

Visual Sound (Installation of SMARTBoards and SMARTBoard software) – $6,939

Chester County IU (For Discovery Streaming – online videos/resources) – $810

Box Top Postage – $72

New Pastor and Principal

Our new pastor has been appointed, Reverend James DeGrassa, and our new principal should be selected before the end of this school year. We will miss both Fr. Howarth and Mrs. Stulz and wish them well. With that being said, please note that there may be changes in the calendar for next year based on the two new staff members. Any changes will be posted on the website and emailed to parents so you are up-to-date on the school schedule and calendar.

Box Tops and Labels for Education

Thank you for being so attentive to this fundraiser for our school. We are also grateful to Mrs. Powers for all her hard work as the Box Tops/Labels Coordinator for Resurrection Regional School.  Don’t forget to continue to collect your labels and box tops over the summer. We will be doing this again next year.
